I'm not sure if y'all have seen but race box is offering a DIY version on Kickstarter. I'm getting one to pair with my race box mini. Mainly this is so I can leave a GPS receiver permanently installed in my drift car.
I have tried in the past to estimate drift angle with a single gps source and car sensors and IMU data. It works ok. I use race Chrono for the data collection while drifting, but would like to be able to use a second Bluetooth gps device to calculate the slip angle. I realize you use gps for main data but I'm wondering if it's possible to support a second GPS device for data logging?
This is what I plot with some post processing in Python. It's all gathered in race Chrono.
