20hz

is there a 20hz gps unit like the bt-q818x?...and if so does RC run up at 20hz if the data stream is 20hz?

someone made a program that interpolates 1hz data and makes it look like 20hz...is there anything that could take 5hz rc file or .csv and make it look like 20hz?

Well you can buy GPS such as Blackline GPS Fuel and attach it with RS232<=>bluetooth adapter. It is very expensive (over $1000 with the 20Hz option).

Not sure if such interpolation software exists. At some point I was planning to have such feature in RaceChrono build-in, but there never was much interest to it.

    25hz!!!
Rune made a version of Pinto for RC but he used a csv I gave him that was an output file from Andy Laurence's RCNormalize v1. It appears to also work with output files from his RCNv1.3...but It does not work with a regular RC export. Can some of you please test this.

if you want to see what this really does, DOWNLOAD and inspect the gauges up close in this file...it works very well.

Would you like such feature integrated to RaceChrono's exporter? Is that what you need? It's probably not that much work...
  • it certainly would make videos better...thanks.
  • aol I think that you should consider integrating such a feature in RaceChrono's exporter! As you said it won't be that much work and videos with 1Hz GPS overlay data may appear "smoother" !
