Just wanted let everybody know a very interesting experiment by my friend Julien from Symbian Foundation. He is going to broadcast LIVE feed from a race car using 3G connection and the very cool QIK streaming software. RaceChrono will do the lap timing of course. I am very pleased to announce the RaceChrono version 1.25 beta! This beta is available for Symbian (S60), Windows Mobile and Windows XP/Vista. This is the first version where all the platforms share common source code, so it should be almost identical in all platforms.
So anyone of you wondering why has not there been new beta version for some time now? Explanation for this is quite simple: I’m working on Windows Mobile version! I will start working on new S60 features after I get the first WM beta out, which is probably two-three months away.
I’m very happy to announce that the version 1.10 is now released! The most important new features are support for video overlay tools, preliminary touch screen support and improved reliability on internal GPS. I’m very glad to announce RaceChrono2AVI, a project by my Italian friend Giorgio. In essence RaceChrono2AVI is a freeware Windows program, that generates a video overlay with gauges from RaceChrono export file!
