So when we connect an ELM327 to the DLC and use it to log things like RPM, Throttle, etc. is this communication occurring through an OBD2 layer?
Because my CAN car sends interesting things like the Steering Angle Sensor and Brake Line Pressure through the same twisted pair of CAN wires. My plan is to sniff this CAN data and isolate the messages and bytes that correlate to these two items. Then I would like to transmit this via Bluetooth to be read by RaceChrono.
Is this something that can be accomplished with RC? The ability to decode custom CAN messages?
