OBD2 Veepeak OBDCheck BLE not connecting Android

Hi,

I've purchased RaceChrono Pro and I'm trying to get my OBD2 reader to work. It's a Veepeak OBDCheck BLE and has been working well with Torque Pro.

To start with I've ensured nothing else is running by restarting my phone and disconnecting the OBD2 reader overnight. The only app open is RaceChrono Pro.

All permissions are allowed. Specifically for nearby devices:
discover and pair nearby Bluetooth devices
connect to paired bluetooth devices

Step by step to reproduce the issue:
1. Pair the OBD2 reader in Android Bluetooth settings.
2. In RaceChrono settings set the OBD2 type to Veepeak OBDCheck BLE and select the paired reader VEEPEAK.
3. Start session
4. See flashing red at the bottom, "Connecting to VEEPEAK..."
5. In details I see the status rapidly loop between: "Connecting... (waiting)", "Connecting...", then "Connected".
6. When connected the bar at the bottom is green for a fraction of a second, then back to red.

I've tried variations of the expert settings. Force secure, bluetooth update rate etc...

Do you have any other suggestions? Are there logs I can enable and provide to help debug this? What about setting the device as a different OBD2 device type?

Did a bit more testing and it's working now, but only if I add the reader as Bluetooth OBD-II reader instead of Veepeak OBDCheck BLE. All expert settings back to default. Reads at about 22Hz total and all parameters are on the fast channel, which I assume is normal.
